The Community area — groups, marketplace, and auctions — is closing. We're removing that functionality, but Expo Information & Hobby Related Information Area section will remain exactly where it is, since it continues to be actively used and referenced.
The social type features were built with the hope of giving this hobby a dedicated space of its own, separate from the usual social media groups. Despite that effort, it never caught on at any level that justified keeping it running.
The Expo Information & Information Area, by contrast, has seen consistent use — we know there's room to improve it, and we intend to, but it's staying in place for anyone who finds it useful and those who find it via searches.
This wasn't an easy decision. A lot of time and care went into building this area.
